Project Shir HaShirim
Providing resources to expand opportunities for Women during Passover
Reading Shir HaShirim on Passover
For those whose custom it is to read Megilat Shir HaShirim, it is leyned on the Shabbat during Passover. Women may leyn Megillat Shir HaShirim. Since many congregations read Shir HaShirim from a printed book and not a parchment Megillah scroll it is easier to leyn. We encourage you to organize or participate in a women’s Megillat Shir HaShirim leyning during Passover.
Learn how to leyn Megillat Shir HaShirim
Rabbanit Bracha Jaffe has made a recording that is deliberate and precise in order to be a learning tool for anyone interested in chanting Ruth for the first time. We are grateful to Rabbanit Jaffe for this important contribution that enables people to learn how to leyn Megillat Shir HaShirim.
