I was recently appointed Israel’s new Legal Adviser for its UN Mission in NY; previously I served as Director of the International Law in Israel’s Foreign Ministry and before that I worked for one of Israel’s top corporate firms, and the Ministry of Justice. I have a BA (summa cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania; a MA from Harvard University and a JD from NYU School of Law and speak Hebrew, English, Spanish and Arabic and am proficient in French.

I have published various articles on international law including a chapter in International Maritime Borders on the Israel-Cyprus maritime agreement I successfully negotiated on behalf of Israel; an article on legal aspects of the 2010 flotilla incident in the American Society of International Law; a chapter on intl maritime law in Robbie Sabel and Yael Ronen’s (eds. International Law Textbook (in Hebrew); headed the Israeli teams that authored Israel’s most recent Universal Periodic Review human rights report, Israel’s government report on the 2014 Military Operation in Gaza and Israel’s recent submission (like an amicus) to the International Court of Justice on the Chagos Advisory Opinion proceedings.
