Hyman, Paula E. and Ofer, Dalia, eds
"Jewish Women: A Comprehensive Historical Encyclopedia - Online Edition" by Hyman, Paula E. and Ofer, Dalia, eds. Jewish Women's Archive, 2009

Synopsis: This encyclopedia seeks to make available to all who are interested in Jewish history and culture the varied accomplishments of Jewish women and their many contributions to the Jewish historical experience over the course of the past three millennia. The online edition makes this wealth of information available to anyone, anywhere, and will allow scholars and more casual readers to propose updates and, in a later stage, to upload new articles. This first iteration creates easy access to the articles on the CD-ROM and gives users the opportunity to add links, updates, and suggestions for new content.

Broyde, Michael
"May an Orthodox Yeshiva Day School or High School Provide Parsonage to Women?," Broyde, Michael. Ten Daat, 18, 2006, 7-16.

Synopsis: In this article, Michael Broyde (Professor of Law at Emory University) discusses whether female Judaic studies teachers are "entitled to the parsonage allowance exclusion," as American law permits specific taxation exemptions and benefits to a "minister of the gospel.” Due to the fact that Orthodox Jewish institutions do not ordain women as rabbis, women teachers of Judaica have been regarded as ineligible, but Broyde suggests that a formal certification be issued by institutions (Like the Yeshivah University Graduate Program) that would make female Jewish educators eligible for such status.

"It's Your Torah Too: Empowering Jewish Women," Wright, Tamra. JOFA 6th International Conference. 2007.

Synopsis: Have you ever felt unequal to the task of giving a d'var Torah in public? In response to this type of widely-held insecurity, a unique and ambitious program, The Susi Bradfield Women Educators Fellowships, was developed in London with the aim of transforming the perception of women's role in Jewish learning and creating a cadre of well-trained women educators. This session will examine the impact of the Bradfield program on the adult education scene in London, and on the individual women who have participated in the program, exploring the transformative effects of the program on the graduates, their families, students and communities in order to identify the elements that could usefully and effectively be replicated in our communities.
